When you see all of the best guitar players in the world on stage, it is easy to take it for granted that they just have that amazing skill and can just pick up a guitar any time they want and play. Whilst this is probably true if they have been playing for years, they had to take guitar lessons for beginners at one stage or another. They had to learn and practice hard to get where they are today.
Exercise One
The first exercise that can help to reinforce your guitar lessons online is easy and incredibly basic but no less effective. You simply play all of the scales on your guitar. Start with the C major scale and move forward through it before coming right back down to C and starting on the next scale! Simply start with the C note and move through D, E, F, G, A and B before coming back down.
Exercise Two
Exercise Two is just as simple and can really help you to grasp the skills that guitar lessons for beginners can teach you. Simply move through all of the notes available to play on every single string, which would be E, F, G, A, B, C, D, E, F, G and A assuming that you have 17 frets on your guitar. You should move through the notes forwards and then backwards, getting progressively quicker.
Exercise Three
Exercise Three is designed specifically to improve your finger change techniques. It is still as simple as anything else you will learn doing online guitar lessons for beginners. All you have to do is change chords, encompassing all of the major ones with a few seconds in between each one. This will improve your changing speed.
Exercise Four
This exercise is basically putting the previous three together to find the notes, scales and chords more fluidly when you are playing. You have to learn the placement of notes for your online guitar lessons for beginners to take shape. Playing a series of notes and chords, no matter what they are, will help you to become familiar with them over time.
Exercise Five
Guitar lessons for beginners are easy to pick up as and when you like but doing the same with your guitar is not the best way to learn so enjoying a little finger practice daily helps. Place your four fingers on the first four frets of the low E string and play each note individually. Then move your fingers down a fret and play each note on the guitar so you are learning to play and placing your fingers well.
